I’m having trouble figuring out how I could get LibreNMS to show serial ports, specifically the descriptions, and maybe an on/off state. Our environment uses primarily the Opengear IM42xx series of terminal servers.
Ideally this could show in the regular ports listing, but from what I’ve read it may need to be a sensor?
I know LibreNMS has the MIB for it, it’s in the repo - librenms/OG-STATUSv2-MIB at 75033daaa8f3ec0dda97108f8d2418f9ffbaa9d0 · librenms/librenms · GitHub (And I’ve verified that the OID is walkable on the terminal server using snmpwalk)
I’m aware LibreNMS tends to use YAML for discovery, so the MIB isn’t enough, I’m just not sure if LibreNMS has the capability to include non-IF-MIB::interfaces ports in the Ports listing. If LibreNMS already has this, any pointers to getting this or similar setup would be appreciated.
