I’m a little new to how SNMP and Librenms works. Currently I’ve set an Alert rule to alert us when any device is over 80% port_usage_percentage. Is this the correct way to do this? Are macros correct too? Here is a screenshot of how we have it set currently.
I only ask this because we get this alert very often but don’t know why or how to reduce it.
Consider setting delay higher (at least 10m). Unless you care about short bursts going over 80%.
Have you reviewed your ports?
How should I go about reviewing the ports? I’m assuming I should be reviewing the main switch here, but nothing seems to light up.
Would it show up on this page?
I mean looking at the graphs and port utilization to see if they are full.

Thank you for your help, I will apply the time change to the alert and see if that solves the issues we’ve been having here (the alert going off too often).
