Search for klient pc

Hi,

Let’s say I have 20 switches in an building, and I’m looking for an spesific client cp.
I need to find out switch and port for the client pc.

Can i search for hostname for the computer?

How can I easaly fin the information I’m looking for?

  • You can search the device using the Mac Address if the switch provides the MAC-Address tables. (you can search in “Overview -> FDB Tables”, meaning ForwardingDataBase Table)
  • You could even search by IP if your router/gateway provides the ARP table.
