Select Widget pulldown menu empty

I am new to administering my own librenms instance. I just installed the libreNMS VM downloaded it from here: Release 21.2.0 · librenms/packer-builds · GitHub

I find that the dashboard select widget pull down menu is empty in one installation and works in another deployment - same VM OVA file

Any clues how to fix this please?

Is the widgets table empty? select * from widgets;

If so, run lnms db:seed --class DefaultWidgetSeeder in the /opt/librenms dir
