I am a regular Nagios user and am currently testing Librenms. I want to create a template as shown in the screenshot.
My concern is the following: the hostname is being used and since we do not have DNS resolution to all of our servers and device, an error is generated. Is it possible to force the use of the IP address?
In our configurations we use “Overwrite IP”. This works fine for unit added service checks and autodiscover, but not for templates.
The use of templates allows me to fine-tune the automation of checks.
