Set Alert Email to different users and multiple address

How do I set specific alerts rules to be emailed to specific email address?
Also I was reading the docs about sending to multiple email address. I use the , to separate emails under the global config but doesn’t seem to be working?

LibreNMS doesn’t have this feature yet to send email alerts to specific email addresses/rules.

You shouldn’t have to add email addresses to the global config. Just make the user account and add the email address to the user account.

Hmmm. When removing the email from Global config, my alerts dont come though. I have an email set under the users…

Under Alert Settings do you have Issue Alerts to admins and read only or normal users?

Should it be a yes or no…
This is what I have.
Issue alerts to admins Yes
Issue alerts to read only users Yes
Issue alerts to sysContact Yes
Send alerts to default contact only Yes

Tolerance window for cron

Updates to contact email addresses not honored yes

set that to No

What does Issue alerts to admins only do? Can I turn off if I want it to issue to non admins?

No, LibreNMS right now doesn’t support that…yet.

Sends alerts to any user set as “admin” in libreNMS. You can turn it off.

How can I add more than one default email address? Is it possible?

not sure. I would just create user accounts with email address in them so the users will reacive emails.

Does that work? My users are not receiving emails?

You need to troubleshoot and see why… Works for me I built each user account and attached an email address to each account. Make sure email settings are correct to select the right toggle “send alerts to admin” “Send alerts to read only” etc…

Are you using Active Directory authentication? If so are you sure that the email-address is specified as a proxyAdress in attribute editor? I had the same problems with users not specified email addresses before they were added as users in LibreNMS.

So we can’t have multiple mail in default contact ? How can I add one without create an user and activate “Issue alerts to admins Yes” ?
I use the AD auth and I cannot create a new user.

the outlines of the box become red and I receive nothing. The change aren’t applied in Global settings.

Has there been any progress on this? I would love to replace PRTG with Libre … all is on track except this.

Thanks, Kevin - Use case is key I think for this - In my case we have separate teams that need to get the different alerts. [Printer Tech doesn’t need to know if the net is up/down and visa versa]

As of right now, it’s not possible to choose what alerts go to what users/transports. Maybe soon if community member steps in and provides code and time. :slight_smile:
