SNMP Proxy Question

I have a question regarding SNMP Proxy.

I already have my main Libre VM.

I just created a new CentOS 7 VM and installed SNMP packages on it. Can I just use this new VM as the SNMP Proxy? I am getting confused on the configuration example in the link - https://docs.librenms.org/Extensions/SNMP-Proxy/

And to poll any devices from main Libre VM, would I use the Proxy IP? Or will this work?

You would use the Proxy IP for this. However if there is more than 1 IP behind this VM that you want to poll I would recommend setting this VM up as another poller. More info here:

I was thinking I would have to go down that path of the distributed poller.
