Sonicwall Graphs / Port speed

Hi All,

Does anyone have any SonicWALL devices added (2700 / 4700 / 6700), if so are your graphs / port speeds correct?
We have multiple SonicWALL devices which report the incorrect port speed, either 10kbps (for 10Gb ports) / 1kbps (For 1Gb ports)

The graphs for each port are also incorrect, bandwidth is much higher, but the graphs don’t match what is being transferred. The total bandwidth does look to be correct, but the graphs just don’t match the current usage. Could this be because of the incorrect port speed it’s reporting?

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing it, and any suggestions to resolve it?

The device must be sending back the wrong values. You need to do an snmpwalk against ifHighSpeed and ifSpeed to see if either give back the right values first.

ifSpeed is reposting 1kps.

Are there any other SonicWALL users here who might be able to confirm if this is the case. Firmware 7.3

What about ifHighSpeed?

ifHighSpeed doesn’t appear to be reported at all, just ifspeed

You’ll need to report it to Sonicwall then I’m afraid.

Turns out there is a known issue in SonicOS 7.3.0-7012, you need up apply the patch released today to fix it. SonicOS 7.3.0-7019

Keep in mind ifHighSpeed does not work when using SNMPv1, so make sure you are using SNMPv2.
