V1.70.0 November 2020 Info

LibreNMS version 1.70.0 has been released!

We thank each and every of the 27 different contributors to LibreNMS this month. Make sure you thank them for their time and effort  If you would like help with LibreNMS in any way, let us know in Discord .

The minimum PHP version is now 7.3.
If you are not running an OS that has PHP 7.3 already, here are some options:

Notable changes:

  • Reworked memory polling. Now shows available memory in many situations. (particularly Linux systems) Some systems may lose history and there may be gaps as LibreNMS needs to rediscover all devices to take advantage of this. Manually rediscovering the mempool module on your devices could reduce this gap. The ucd graph under graphs is gone, use the Health → Memory graphs.
  • Configurable icons for custom port descriptions
  • Laravel 8 framework is now used
  • 15 devices have new or updated support
  • Many bug fixes

More settings have been added to the Web UI, but we could always use more help.
Check out the documentation .

You can find our change log here including links to changes mentioned above.

Travis changed there open source policy causing our CI builds to stop. Merging new PRs will be slow until this is resolved. Thanks to @CrazyMax for getting our doc build process ported to GitHub Actions. We will work to get the situation resolved, any help is appreciated.

As usual there are some great changes pending for next month.
You can checkout the Pull Requests on GitHub and give feedback on them to help them get merged.

Some stats from our main GitHub repo:

As always, happy monitoring.
