When FDB or mac-tables are updated

Hi,

Does anyone knows how librenms updates the FDB table?

I use librenms also as a searchable Mac database. But now feeling the frequency of FDB updates are slow. Is it only updated only every 6 hours when the discovery script is run?

If is that, is there any harm running it like every 10 minutes?

But I want to be sure first FDB is taken care by discovery or poller?

Anyone from the community can answer my question?

The FDB is updated everytime you have discovery running. Running discovery every 10 minutes is probably heavy for the devices (because the complete discovery, not only FDB would occur).
You could open a feature request to have a way to only run FDB updates separately from the complete discovery.
