Who has a good suggestion for SNMP settings?

That’s a really open ended question. The answer will depend on what you are monitoring, and why.
Example 1: No security
On my home LAN I am lazy and use SNMPv2 UDP port 161 with “public” community and no auth.
Example 2: Some security
If you’re doing this for a customer or company, you’ll probably want to do something like this STIG.
Only use SNMPv3, require a password to get data from SNMP, and don’t use the default “public” or “private” community strings.
I mean optimize it.
Can you explain what you mean by optimize?
