Interface only graphing outbound data

Validate: Validate - Pastebin.com

I noticed a weird issue recently where one interface on one device is only graphing the outbound data. If you look at the bottom left of the screenshot, you can see the data is present, but for some reason not graphing in that direction, not consistently anyway. I’ve run validate.php and it’s clean (link above). Permissions are the same as all other rrd files. Any ideas?

Look like this Gaps in Port-channel Graphs

It looks like port speed/bandwidth is the issue. The port (bridge-domain interface) only shows as 1G on the router (I think SVI’s are the same way) and, as I never realized, the graph as well. I found out the service instance on the physical interface that this BDI is associated with shows as 100G so I switched the weathermap graph to use this port instead. That should solve my issue.

I already had rrdtune on, and checked the port’s ifSpeed in the DB. It was already set to 100G. but I went ahead and ran the script in the linked issue anyway. I doubt this had any effect on my issue. It’s odd though that as far as I know no one made any changes to the weathermap, and it had been showing accurate throughput until recently. While students were on campus, it would regularly be showing 10Gbps throughput. Oh well.

I attached a screenshot showing the original port graphing in both directions now, but probably only because it has less than 1G going through it.

Looks like rrdtune set the limit to 1Gbps.

You should try again to get the rrdfile set to a higher limit.
