If it’s showing as snmp down then you’ve either entered the wrong snmp credentials or the printer is configured incorrectly.
I got them back up I re-added them. now I’m just not getting the correct information from the printers not sure if it takes the time to configure the toner percentage or not I made a different topic.
We take the information from snmp, some printers don’t provide % level toner usage and give you like 0%, 50% or 100%
Thanks to all who have been involved in this discussion. Just got my box set up 2 days ago. Figured out the mail settings for alerts and got alerts going. Followed the instructions in this thread and now have my numerous printers alerting me when they have low toner. Many of my printers are Brother printers that I know also report percentage of life left on printer drum. Anyone got ideas on how to set up an alert, similar to the low toner, for low drum life remaining?
